What really draws in many visitors to the little village pub is
Julie's home cooking. "It is good simple home cooking using fresh produce, It is
not your run of the mill fast food it's good quality home cooked food of
huge portions." She follows in the footsteps of 1930s landlady Mary Anne King
who used to cook up Ham and Eggs for hungry steelworkers who came over
from Sheffield especially for the 3s 6d grub. The Olde Bulls Head gammon is just as famous today and many visitors make a special trip to get a taste of the dish. |
The friendly and welcoming pub also boasts a good selection of beers which include Tetleys and John Smiths. |
